Fake redesign

The often plagiarized Mattias Lindberg has redesigned his Fakepilot site - using a minimalistic HTML approach to house some of the most explosive motion on the web.

Angela Sailo

To assist the Armchairs with dotting the i's and crossing the t's, Portfolio Center's Angela Sailo has joined as a copywriting/design intern. When not at Armchair, she can be found ruling president Hank Richardson's office with an iron fist.

Jack'n'Coke?

Your parents gang-signing and reciting Kanye West? Yeah. That's about how misguided giant corporations can be in their persuit of cool.

Some companies are lucky enough to employ smart people that understand the concept of unconditionally adding value to peoples lifes through branding is a smart thing.

One of these lucky companies is a growing beverage company named Coca-Cola. The M5 marketing team is back with an extension in the form of a Jack White TV commercial.

You like us. Right now, you really like us.

Oh, whatever. We're a small but growing agency, let us feel a little Sally Fieldish as our Great American Health Check gets nominated for the Webby Awards.

Special thanks to Bjarne Melin, et al at North Kingdom for their contribution.

W stands for Winner

We spent the bulk of 2005 redesigning the 17 CBS owned and operated local Web sites. Many of those sites are now receiving accolades from their journalistic peers and the Web design industry. WCCO.com in Minneapolis is among the best, in both editorial quality and overall traffic.

So far this year, they've added "Best Website" honors to their trophy shelf from the following organizations:
  • The Northwest Broadcast News Association
  • The Radio-Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) Regional Murrow Awards
  • Associated Broadcast Awards, the Minnesota Associated Press

See what makes them so good
