Pussycat, pussycat, Björk loves you...

What do you get when Spike Jonze, Björk and a lovesick cat have a night on the town in Iceland? Madness! (launch the 'medúlla' player from the main page)

GoAway Guy

If you're a regular reader of the Armchair Media blog, then you've heard of Brand Engagement, the process of using content, often in non-traditional ways, to get people to spend more time with your brand. We like to single out companies that are expanding their markets using this innovative concept. Occasionally, we have to hurl a few brickbats too.

Beleagured US Airways is in our sights this time. The carrier is teetering on the edge of oblivion and they just may have found the guy to push them over. Meet Seth, the GoFares Guy, whose job apparently it is to annoy you off your computer and into an airline seat. IM to Seth—it's not working.

Montage-a-google

I know, I know. We post Google-somethings about once a week. Please forgive us and have some fun with this -- a Flash-based montage creator that grabs content from Google image search. Minutes upon minutes of fun.

Turner redesigns with Web standards

Turner.com makes two good decisions in one fell swoop:
1. Relaunch the site using CSS/XHTML
2. Work with Atlanta's Twinsparc to make it happen

The Future of the Internet

Pew Internet and American Life Project has just released a new study that examines where the Internet is heading in the next ten years.

A sample: "In the emerging era of the blog, experts believe the internet will bring yet more dramatic change to the news and publishing worlds. They predict the least amount of change to religion."

Worth the read.

Sometimes We Celebrate!

One year ago, almost to this day, I was approached by Tom Daly to partner up and create a children's book aimed at helping parents engage their children in their business travels. I loved the concept back then and with the finished product hot off the press - I'd love to hear what you think.

If you're in the Atlanta area on Friday, Jan. 14th, please celebrate with us.

Chairs for tipsy small people

Design Within Reach has announced the winners to their Champagne Chair contest. Rick Dean's chair has a great shape - and if you're about an 1 inch tall elf with a sweet Champagne tooth - it might even be comfortable.
