Rouxbe

It's a recipe video service, they give out the first 30 days of access free. Overall I give it very high marks, here's how it breaks down pro/con style:
Things I like about it:
- Clean open feeling interface
- Recipes are clear, close-up, with good audio
- Video is broken into steps
- Steps can have "drill downs" for more info (e.g. "how to select a mango")
- You can view the text for any step, or go to full print-view.
- Music is separate track that can be turned down or muted
- No "talking heads"
- Each recipe has a preview when you're browsing
- Commenting available or each, which has the potential to be very helpful
Could be better:
- The name is weird and annoying (roxbe, rewbie, rowexbe?)
- It's nice not having obnoxious personalities involved, but seems maybe a little dry
- One should be able to embed a teaser for any recipe into my *whatever* blog
- "Profile" is kinda useless
- Are people pronouncing stuff wrong, or is it me?
- Limited sorting features for recipe browsing
Tiffany Tom is Armchair's new brand programs manager

A great client partner is critical to the final product. There’s nothing that our new brand programs manager Tiffany Tom understands better. Before joining Armchair, she spent five years with various agencies and managed relationships with such clients as Porsche, Georgia-Pacific and Filene’s Basement.
We’re thrilled to have Tiffany as a part of our Armchair team.

George, you got our back!
Beating Witt into Shape

Fresh from an apprenticeship with Razorfish, Portfolio Center's media architecture superstar Witt Langstaff has joined the Armchair team as an intern.
I have the feeling he's going to be beating us before long.
